Artist's Comments
I'm very happy with this one. I decided to experiment with shadows, in addition to doing the expression of this officer contemplating the situation he is beholding from atop a hill. Being adventurous, I added the box, and decided to make this more than a simple character concept sketch. I later added the armored car to the right for added experimentation, then the mortar tractor, and the two figures off to the right to help build an impression of a dangerous situation.
